Electricial Bus

Outline the components used to create the positive and negative buses.

Overview
The aircraft needs a series of positive and negative buses, and this creates a need to link the bus to distribute the supply to the circuits.

Hardware
6 /12-way terminal strips
The factory recommends the installation of a lateral and longitudinal support system to allow the components to be mounted and wires supported.

The longitudinal support has been installed previously, and this was used to mount the terminal strips. A screw type was selected with an integrated cover, which is more important for the positive to prevent accidental flashover as these will be supplying power to the instruments.

An issue has always been linking these, it can be done in several ways, either creating a lot of work or a mess. A search of the net located manufactured and insulated link to suit solved all issues.

Assume actual load = Breaker x 0.5

Comment
A series of wiring diagrams have been added to the blog over the break this allows ease of access for myself. The schematics are for each circuit, no attempt has been made to create the overall total schematic as experience has shown fond these are complex to develop then read on the job. 

The diagrams will over time have photos and wire colours added to the schematics, this will become part of a service manual for the aircraft. Currently, I am scouring the RV site for a simple method of adding wiring numbers without using a specialised printer.

Finishing the wiring is a way off, but the next job is to complete all the work in the passenger area - - battery, hydraulic, electrical and mounting.

Back on site on the 13th and after the break I am excited.
